With the advent of the more liberal attitude towards the physical and sexual relationship between man and woman, especially on the part of the woman, it has become increasingly important to emphasize the art or technique of sexual stimulation. This would appear to be especially important to female sexual arousal, as women in general require more stimulation and more foreplay to reach orgasmic levels of sexual satisfaction. Furthermore, the female area of erogenous stimulation is more widely distributed than that of the male. The male area of sexual stimulation is primarily that of the genitalia, predominantly the penis, whereas the female breasts and all aspects of the genitalia (clitoris, labia, forchette and vaginal opening) often require simultaneous stimulation to produce the ultimate explosive climax.
This open and mutual desire to provide sexual satisfaction is not only good in that both parties need to experience the ultimate sexual climax, but more so it has become a platform for mutual respect and consideration of the partners concerned. No longer is the female the passive partner, there to satisfy the sexual needs of the male counterpart. Rather is the woman now assuming an active role in the total sexual relationship and just as eagerly wanting to experience the ultimate in sexual pleasure. The woman of today needs no longer feel ashamed or embarrassed or frightened of her sexual feelings and desires. She is entitled to the same fulfilment and expression of these, as is her male companion.
